A full set of Stardew Valley wallet items is not a wallet full of cash. It is a collection of loyalty cards, keys and strange gadgets that open up the game. In 1.6 these live in the Special Items & Powers tab. Here is how to get the original unlocks without missing an important quest step.
Watch my original YouTube video for the gameplay demonstration, or jump to the section you need. The written guide includes corrections and additions for Stardew Valley 1.6.

Start with these wallet items
The Magnifying Glass, Rusty Key and Skull Key are my practical priorities because they unlock Secret Notes, the Sewers and Skull Cavern. You will collect the others as your museum, friendships and story progress. Some powers require specific seasons or quests, so use the contents to jump to the item you are missing.
Forest Magic: understand the Junimos
Trigger Lewis’s Community Center introduction, inspect the golden scroll inside, then respond to the Wizard’s invitation the following day. Meeting him gives you Forest Magic and lets you understand the bundle requests.
This is the first step in the ordinary Community Center route. If you are working toward bundles, start organising seasonal items early rather than trying to collect everything at the end of the year.
Dwarvish Translation Guide: collect all four scrolls
The Dwarvish Translation Guide lets you understand the dwarves in the Mines and Volcano Dungeon. Donate Dwarf Scrolls I, II, III and IV to the Museum, then collect the reward from Gunther. Merely carrying all four scrolls is not enough.
The scrolls come from appropriate monster drops and, for some scrolls, tilling dirt in the Mines. If one colour is missing, focus on that scroll’s source rather than hoping any enemy can drop every scroll. Blue Slimes are a useful target for Scroll III, while tilling on deeper mine floors can help with Scroll IV.
This unlock is worth doing before you want to buy large supplies of bombs. Finding the dwarf is only half the job; being able to understand the shopkeeper is the useful part.
Rusty Key: donate sixty museum items
Every key has a purpose, and this one opens the Sewers. Donate sixty items to the Museum; Gunther brings the Rusty Key the next day. You are donating to the Museum, not to Krobus.
The reward is access to Krobus, his shop and the Statue of Uncertainty. Iridium Sprinklers on Fridays, a Stardrop and the Return Scepter are good reasons to care. Donate new minerals and artifacts as you find them, and crack your stored geodes instead of forgetting them in a chest.

Magnifying Glass: finish A Winter Mystery
During Winter, walk from the farm to the Bus Stop between 6am and 4pm to trigger the shadow figure encounter. Follow the footprints through town to the bush near the playground, west of the Community Center. Interact with the bush to receive the Magnifying Glass.
It enables Secret Notes. Do not watch the opening encounter and then forget to follow the tracks: the useful reward is at the end of that short trail.
Special Charm: Secret Note 20 and a Rabbit’s Foot
Find and read Secret Note 20, then bring a Rabbit’s Foot to the driver in the truck beside JojaMart. Follow the note’s directions if you want to solve the route yourself. The driver exchanges the foot for the Special Charm.
It permanently improves daily luck slightly. A small bonus is still useful when combined with a well-prepared mining run. Keep the first Rabbit’s Foot you find for a purpose instead of automatically selling every one.

Skull Key: reach floor 120 of the Mines
You need Iridium Ore for tools, sprinklers and Crystalariums, and Skull Cavern is an important source. First reach floor 120 in the ordinary Mines and collect the Skull Key from the chest.
The key unlocks Skull Cavern, but you still need access to the desert to use the entrance. It also unlocks Junimo Kart at the Stardrop Saloon. Bring proper equipment when you finally head to Skull Cavern; having the key does not make the enemies polite.
Dark Talisman: open the route to the Witch’s Swamp
After completing the Community Center or Joja developments, visit the Railroad for the Wizard’s quest introduction. Talk to Krobus and enter the Mutant Bug Lair through the passage he opens in the Sewers. Collect the Dark Talisman from the chest.
Take a weapon. The enemies are manageable with preparation, but this is still a combat area. The talisman lets you remove the barrier at the Railroad and continue toward the Witch’s Swamp.
Magic Ink: get past the henchman
The henchman blocks the route to the Witch’s Hut until you give him Void Mayonnaise. You can bring some with you, or fish for it in the swamp while the relevant quest conditions are active.
Once he moves, enter the hut, take the Magic Ink from the table and return it to the Wizard. Completing the chain unlocks the Wizard’s magical farm buildings. That is why these strange quest items matter: they lead to some of the best convenience upgrades in the game.
Club Card: complete every Mysterious Qi step
The Casino requires the Club Card. Follow the notes in order; skipping the Rainbow Shell step is an easy way to get stuck.
- Put a Battery Pack in the lockbox inside the tunnel west of the Bus Stop.
- Put a Rainbow Shell in the box on the Railroad platform.
- Place ten Beets in Mayor Lewis’s fridge. Beet Seeds are sold at the Oasis; grow them in Fall or use an indoor/island growing space.
- Place a Solar Essence in the sand dragon’s mouth in the desert.
- Inspect the woodpile beside your farmhouse to collect the Club Card.
- Visit the bouncer at the back of the Oasis to enter the Casino.
Bear’s Knowledge: Secret Note 23
Find Secret Note 23, then bring Maple Syrup to the Secret Woods for the bear’s event. Bear’s Knowledge triples the sale price of Salmonberries and Blackberries.
This is a 3× multiplier, rather than a 300% increase on top of the original value. It works nicely with quality forage: an Iridium Salmonberry that normally sells for 10g sells for 30g. It will not replace a wine empire, but it makes berry season more rewarding.
Spring Onion Mastery: befriend Vincent and Jas
Reach eight hearts with both Vincent and Jas, then enter Cindersap Forest on a sunny Spring day between 6am and 5pm to see their event. The reward multiplies Spring Onion sale prices by five.
An Iridium Spring Onion goes from 16g to 80g. Is this the biggest money-maker in the game? Absolutely not. But it is a nice friendship reward and one more permanent power for your collection.

Key to the Town: buy it with Qi Gems
Unlock Ginger Island, find enough Golden Walnuts to enter Qi’s Walnut Room, then spend twenty Qi Gems on the Key to the Town. It lets you enter many buildings outside their ordinary opening hours.
That is useful for gift giving and reaching some shops earlier, but it does not remove every restriction. Bedrooms, festivals and shopkeeper availability can still matter. Think of it as more access, not a guarantee that every service operates twenty-four hours a day.
Why does my menu not show the old wallet?
Version 1.6 moved this functionality into the Special Items & Powers tab. The older video calls it a wallet because that was the familiar layout. Your powers still work, and the newer tab also tracks book and Mastery powers.
Use the missing icon to identify the unlock you need, then follow its quest chain. A full collection is built through museum donations, exploring, friendship and island progress; there is no single shop that sells the entire set.
